The Burnside Cardigan crochet pattern by KT and the Squid

This original pattern was written by me (Katy)!
The Burnside Cardigan is stitched from the top down and all the trim is added last with no seaming. You can add buttons, a zipper or both like I did. I really like the look of the buttons but I wanted the front of the sweater to stay closed. If you are going to add just buttons I suggest using at least 6 (I only have 5) to keep it closed better.
What you’ll need:
I hook
H hook
Worsted weight yarn: approx. 340 (440, 550, 640, 760) yards of Lion Brand Heartland.
4-7 stitch markers
5-7 1.25” toggle buttons
1 separating zipper longer than the length of the sweater
Skill level: Intermediate
Children's sizes: chest measurement

The pattern arrived immediately and there was added instructions both written and links to video clips which I think is a really nice added touch for if someone gets stuck!
